Wigmore and District Gardening Club Speaker
Tonight we will welcome Hugh Thomas who is the head gardener at Little Malvern Court near Little Malvern in Worcestershire. The house and gardens have been home to the Berington family by descent since the 1530’s. Hugh has been head gardener here since 2012 and has been instrumental in rejuvenating the stream garden and surrounds plus refreshing and enlivening the garden. This will be a very interesting talk about his role at Little Malvern, with hints and tips too.
Cost: £2 for non-members, including refreshments, with membership being £5 per annum. Everyone is warmly welcome.
An Afternoon Tea and Dance in Knighton
On Tuesday afternoon January 14th 2020 from 2pm until 4pm the Knighton and District Rotary Club will hold the fourth of their monthly tea dances at the St Edward Church Hall in Knighton LD7 1AG. The dance instructors Frank and Pauline Davis will provide the music and tuition, while Rotary member Angie Ellis will provide the delicious sandwiches and tasty bite sized cakes.
Entry is free and all are welcome, with or without a partner. And you are warmly welcome to come along just to enjoy the company and refreshments without obligation to trip the light fantastic.
