Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from County Councillor Carole Gandy

I wish everyone a good Xmas and a Happy New Year.  My first few months as your local councillor have been very enjoyable and I have met some delightful people.  It never ceases to amaze me how much local people are doing within their communities to help others and there are very few weeks when there is not something going on at the local village hall, church or other community building.  I would also like to give a special mention to your parish councillors who work so hard on behalf of their residents, often with little thanks.

Like you, I am sure, I am hoping that we will not be subjected to either significant snow or flooding this winter and would ask that you all, particularly during the next few cold months, spare a thought for elderly residents living close by.
