Wigmore Village Show 2018
The 4th Village Show was held in Wigmore Village hall on 18 August where a near capacity audience came to examine a wide range of garden and home produce.
Over 30 adult entrants and some 40 children produced nearly 200 individual exhibits which made for some moments of concentration for our seven judges and a very entertaining afternoon for our visitors.
We also had a number of stalls, live music performed by “Puffer”, owls and sheep to look at: we were very grateful to our twenty one local sponsors for their contribution to this now firmly fixed village show.
We gave a thought to our founding chairman Ken Wade now recovering from serious leg surgery and wished him well. Ken’s successor as team leader, Hannah Mason, was presented with a flower bouquet and a promissory note for a traditional Shepherd’s crook – which has now actually arrived from the manufacturer.
Our trophy winners were presented with their prizes by our County Councillor Carole Gandy and these champions are listed below. We would like to thank all our exhibitors for their enthusiasm and diligence in bringing the show to us and hope to see them all next year.
Our thanks go to all our sponsors, performers and stall holders.
